Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors

Through 10
All Ages

“Thousands of illuminated colors blinking at the speed of light,” says Yayoi Kusama. “Isn’t this the very illusion of Life in our transient world?” The octogenarian Japanese artist, who lives voluntarily in a psychiatric hospital in her home country, creates psychedelic polka-dot paintings, pumpkins, sculptures and illuminated interiors as a way of fighting pain, anxiety and fear in an increasingly unpeaceful world. This blockbuster exhibition pairs her kaleidoscopic, immersive mirror rooms with sculptures and paintings. Advance tickets to this sold out way in advance, but we’re told some door tickets will be available to those able to wait in line (probably for a while).
